University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on the Geographical Analysis of Changes in Rainfall Adequacy in Iraq
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the geographical analysis of changes in the actual adequacy value of rainfall in Iraq.
The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of rainfall adequacy in environmental balance and its impact on plant life, biodiversity, and the mitigation of environmental challenges.
The workshop included a lecture delivered by researcher Hanan Arhin Suwadi, who presented an analysis of data from seven meteorological stations across Iraq—including Baghdad, Basrah, Kirkuk, Mosul, Rutba, Al-Hayy, and Nasiriyah—to study effective rainfall and assess its adequacy levels.
