University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Domestic Violence
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a workshop titled “The Right to Protection from Domestic Violence.”
The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the importance of respecting human rights within the family, and to promote a culture of dialogue and understanding as fundamental pillars for building a safe community and a stable family environment.
The event included the presentation of several research papers in which scholars discussed the negative effects of domestic violence on individuals, families, and society, emphasizing the need to strengthen counseling and psychological support as essential means to address this phenomenon.
