University of Basrah Organizes an Educational Seminar on the Art of Debate and Persuasion for Female Leaders
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basrah organized an educational seminar titled “The Art of Debate and Persuasion for Female Leaders.”
The seminar aimed to exchange views and experiences on the art of debate and persuasion for female leaders, refine linguistic skills, enhance public speaking and oratory abilities, encourage teamwork, and develop the capacity to construct logical arguments based on evidence and reasoning.
During the seminar, Dr. Fadia Yaqub Yousif and lecturer Nora Hamid Hasan presented the most famous debates throughout history, highlighting their significance, the concept of debate studies, and its fundamental tools.
The seminar recommended viewing debates not merely as arguments but as powerful instruments for developing critical thinking, enhancing public speaking and persuasion skills, promoting respectful dialogue, learning from diverse perspectives, and refining the ability to express ideas with clarity and precision.
