University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Documenting Extremism
The Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies Center at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with the Iraqi Center for Documenting Extremism Crimes, organized a seminar on documenting extremism crimes and its importance in supporting national security and promoting peaceful coexistence.
The seminar aimed to consolidate documentation methodologies and establish databases and legal frameworks that support security decision-making and prevent the recurrence of crimes.
The seminar, attended by Dr. Thaer Ghaleb Al-Nashi, Director of the Iraqi Center, Dr. Qais Nasser Rahi, and Police Brigadier General Basim Ghanem Al-Maliki, addressed documentation mechanisms and the role of verified evidence in national security and its connection to peaceful coexistence.
The seminar recommended continued coordination between universities and government agencies and the establishment of a national database for documentation.
