University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on the Roles of Guidance Units in Academic Institutions
The College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basrah organized a scientific seminar on the roles, functions, and objectives of guidance units in academic institutions.
The seminar aimed to highlight the vital role of guidance units within universities and their responsibilities in supporting students psychologically, socially, and academically.
The session included a lecture delivered by Ms. Zahraa Saleh Al-Saedi, Head of the Guidance Unit, in which she outlined the main functions of guidance units and their role in helping students adapt academically, discover, and develop their talents through continuous monitoring and support.
Al-Saedi emphasized the importance of activating the unit’s functions and objectives according to a well-studied scientific approach, ensuring the preparation of a generation that is conscious, mentally, academically, and professionally qualified to serve society, considering the unit as a key partner in fulfilling the university’s mission.
