University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Cancer
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on cancer and its causes of spread.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the seriousness of cancer and ways to prevent it.
The session included a lecture delivered by Dr. Karam Allah Shaker, a faculty member, who explained that cancer cells have several characteristics, including abnormal growth and division, and discussed methods for removing malignant tumors. The lecture also addressed the causes of cancer, which include genetic factors as well as environmental conditions, poor nutrition, and lifestyle habits.
