University of Basrah Joins the Basra Cultural Council
The Cultural Center at the University of Basrah has joined the Basra Cultural Council, chaired by Dr. Aqeel Al-Furaiji, Head of the Cultural Committee in the Basra Provincial Council. This step comes within the framework of strengthening cultural and institutional cooperation between the University and the cultural institutions of the governorate.
This membership followed a meeting between Prof. Dr. Murad Hameed Abdullah, Director of the Cultural Center at the University of Basrah, and Dr. Aqeel Al-Furaiji, during which they discussed mechanisms for activating cultural partnership and coordinating joint efforts to serve the cultural and intellectual movement in the city of Basra.
Both parties emphasized the importance of unifying cultural visions and initiatives to support creativity and young talents, while enhancing the role of academic institutions in enriching the cultural scene through distinctive projects and activities.
