A Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores the Modeling and Optimization of the Gas Drying Unit at Basrah Gas Company
A master’s thesis conducted at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, examined the modeling and optimization of the gas drying unit at Basrah Gas Company.
The thesis, presented by student Hussein Amjad Yaqoub, aims to establish a systematic approach for integrating and enhancing the performance of the dehydration unit within a broader framework to improve energy efficiency.
The research consisted of four chapters, in which the student discussed the modeling and simulation of the adsorption process in a fixed bed within the Basrah Liquefied Natural Gas Plant. The study was based on a nine-month evaluation of the dehydration unit’s efficiency in processing two incoming gas streams from the dehydration system.
