University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Estimating the Chemical Content in Plants
The Date Palm Research Center at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education, organized a training workshop on estimating the chemical content in plants and measuring certain physical properties of soil.
The workshop aimed to equip postgraduate students with the necessary scientific skills and to provide a supportive research environment for conducting accurate and reliable chemical analyses.
Delivered by Dr. Muntaha Abdul-Zahra Ati and Dr. Halima Jabbar, the workshop included practical training on estimating total soluble carbohydrates and measuring the plant’s proline amino acid content on a fresh-weight basis, in addition to explaining the main laboratory procedures involved in these analyses.
