University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Visit to Al-Ahwar Company in the East Hammar Marsh
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a scientific field visit for undergraduate students to Al-Ahwar Company for Fish Production and Marketing in the East Hammar Marsh, accompanied by a group of the College’s faculty members.
The visit aimed to enhance the practical aspects of courses related to aquatic environments and fish farming by allowing students to observe the company’s production and marketing mechanisms firsthand.
During the visit, students conducted field observations and collected samples from both natural and cultivated aquatic environments.
The College administration affirmed that this visit aligns with its plan to strengthen collaboration with the private sector and to prepare specialized personnel capable of supporting fishery development and protecting aquatic ecosystems.
