University of Basrah Academic Participates in a Central Functional Training Course Organized by the Agricultural Extension and Training Directorate
Dr. Aqeel Hadi Abdul-Wahed, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, delivered a scientific lecture as part of the central functional training course organized by the Agricultural Extension and Training Directorate – Department of Workforce Development in Basrah Governorate.
The course aims to enhance the skills of workers in the agricultural sector in the field of tissue-cultured date palm propagation in accordance with modern scientific principles.
Dr. Abdul-Wahed’s lecture addressed the importance of date palm cultivation from economic, social, and cultural perspectives, in addition to discussing the current state of palm cultivation in Iraq and the role of tissue culture technologies in reviving orchards and increasing agricultural productivity.
