University of Basrah Organizes a Training Course on Obesity Diagnosis
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah organized a training course on the diagnosis of obesity.
The course aimed to assess individuals’ health status, identify the risks of obesity-related diseases, and develop appropriate treatment plans while determining possible complications.
Delivered by Dr. Wesal Abdulrahman Salem from the College of Dentistry, the course covered the causes of obesity, its associated diseases, and methods of early diagnosis. It also addressed proper nutrition practices and weight management techniques. Practical models of effective nutrition programs and exercise routines were presented during the course, emphasizing the vital role of educational institutions in promoting health awareness and supporting scientific research that contributes to combating obesity and its related disorders.
