University of Basrah Wins Third Place in the University’s Powerlifting Championship
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah secured third place in the University Powerlifting Championship, with three of its students delivering outstanding performances that qualified them to represent the University of Basrah in the upcoming Baghdad Championship.
Student Jaafar Hussein achieved third place in the 90 kg weight category after lifting 220 kg, while student Mohammed Wael earned third place in the 80 kg category after lifting 180 kg. Their teammates also demonstrated commendable performances that contributed to this accomplishment for the College.
The President of the Iraqi Central Federation for Powerlifting praised the high level displayed by the College of Dentistry students, commending their strong efforts and affirming that such distinguished performance reflects the discipline, dedication, and perseverance that the college’s students consistently show in both academic and athletic fields.
