University of Basrah Holds Seminar on Women and Drug Abuse in Awareness Theater
The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah organized an awareness seminar titled “Women and Drugs: A Sociological and Aesthetic Approach in Awareness Theater.”
The seminar aimed to educate students on the importance of avoiding negative behaviors and to promote intellectual and social well-being, contributing to the development of aware and resilient individuals capable of confronting societal challenges.
Presented by faculty members Hala Hassan Sabti and Rana Faleh Lafta, the seminar discussed the social dimensions of the pressures faced by women, including marginalization, neglect, and family disintegration.
The speakers also addressed the role of awareness theater in reducing this phenomenon through artistic, aesthetic, and intellectual treatments that help deliver a visual message capable of enhancing awareness and motivating audiences to better perceive the reality around them.
