The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah Welcomes Graduate Students
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah welcomed graduate students from the College of Arts along with their supervising faculty members.
The scientific visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of biodiversity and the role of scientific museums in preserving natural heritage, as well as to support their academic research through direct exposure to biological exhibits.
Students toured the museum’s various halls, learning about biological specimens and receiving specialized explanations from museum staff regarding natural habitats and the techniques used for taxidermy and preservation.
This visit is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen scientific collaboration between the museum and the university’s colleges and to provide students with broader knowledge by linking theoretical studies with practical field experience.
