University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on “Drugs and Their Prohibition in the Qur’an and Sunnah”
The College of Education – Al-Qurna at the University of Basrah organized an educational lecture entitled “Drugs and Their Prohibition in the Qur’an and Sunnah.”
The lecture aimed to raise students’ awareness about the dangers of drug use, clarify its prohibition based on the Qur’anic verses and prophetic traditions, and highlight its harmful health and social effects that threaten both individuals and society.
The lecture, delivered by lecturer Riyadh Abdul Hakim Hussein, addressed the negative and destructive impacts of drugs, presented the religious evidence forbidding their use, and warned against falling into this harmful practice. He emphasized the importance of continuous awareness efforts to curb the spread of drug use among various segments of society.
