University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Value Stream Mapping in Process Improvement
The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized a scientific seminar titled “Value Stream Mapping in Process Improvement.”
The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of using value stream mapping as an effective tool for analyzing production processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Delivered by Dr. Arij Karim Rahman, the seminar explained that value stream maps help identify sources of waste and inefficiencies within workflow processes, whether resulting from waiting times, excess inventory, or unnecessary steps.
The seminar concluded with recommendations to adopt value stream mapping to enhance operational efficiency, reduce production time, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within organizations.
