University of Basrah Faculty Members Participate in Workshop on Probiotics and Their Effects on Animals
Faculty members Maysam Hassan Ali, Batool Ali Majid, and Nazem Mohammed Jawad from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah participated in a scientific workshop on the role of dairy products in the production of probiotics and their impact on animal health. The workshop was held at the Veterinary Clinic in Abu Al-Khaseeb District.
The workshop included a series of scientific and awareness lectures emphasizing the importance of maintaining the microfloral balance in animals’ bodies through the use of carefully measured and balanced amounts of probiotics in animal feed.
The lectures highlighted that maintaining this balance contributes to improving feed conversion efficiency, enhancing nutrient absorption, promoting overall health, and increasing productivity. These outcomes positively affect consumer preference and the economic feasibility of animal products.
