University of Basrah Organizes Lecture on Occupational Safety
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on occupational safety as part of the museum’s training program, which aims to develop the skills of its staff, instill a culture of safety and prevention, ensure the protection of employees and visitors, and safeguard the museum’s collections.
The lecture aimed to raise awareness about occupational safety procedures in the workplace, familiarize staff with methods for preventing potential hazards, and enhance their ability to respond effectively to emergencies while minimizing their impact.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Farhan Laidh, a faculty member at the College of Nursing, covered the fundamentals of occupational safety, safe equipment usage, and first aid procedures to be followed in case of injuries, in addition to outlining preventive measures that contribute to creating a healthy and safe work environment.
