University of Basrah Welcomes Students from Al-Takamul Private Schools
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah received a delegation of students from Al-Takamul Private Schools, accompanied by their teaching staff, as part of an educational visit aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge and understanding.
The visit aimed to introduce students to the importance of biodiversity and the role of scientific museums in preserving and documenting life specimens, linking theoretical curriculum concepts with practical, hands-on experiences through direct interaction with exhibits.
During the tour, students explored the museum’s various halls and attended explanations provided by museum staff about animal specimens, their natural habitats, as well as methods of taxidermy and specimen preservation.
This visit is part of the museum’s efforts to strengthen its educational and awareness roles, offering students a broader learning environment through an interactive setting that fosters curiosity and scientific inquiry.
