University of Basrah Celebrates Victory Day Over the ISIS Terrorist Organization
The College of Law at the University of Basrah held a celebration marking Iraqi Victory Day and the nation’s final triumph over the ISIS terrorist organization.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surat Al-Fatiha in honor of the heroic leaders and martyrs of victory, followed by a speech delivered by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ali Abdul-Ali Al-Asadi, who highlighted the significance of this occasion in Iraq’s contemporary history.
He added: “We celebrate this glorious day to remind younger generations of the sacrifices made by our heroes in the security forces, the army, and the Popular Mobilization Forces, who gave their lives to liberate Iraq from the grip of terrorist organizations. Raising the Iraqi flag here today symbolizes our pride in our homeland and our commitment to rebuilding our beloved country.”
Participating students emphasized that Victory Day represents a source of inspiration and pride for them, expressing their deep appreciation for being part of a nation that overcame immense challenges.
