University of Basrah Holds a Seminar on Women’s Roles Between Work and Family
The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah organized an awareness seminar titled “The Role of Women in Achieving Balance Between Work and Family.”
The seminar aimed to enhance working women’s understanding of the importance of maintaining equilibrium between their professional responsibilities and family roles, while clarifying the concept of integration between work life and home life in a way that meets both personal and societal needs.
Delivered by lecturers Rola Abdul-Ilah Alwan, Alaa Ali Ahmed, and Amani Kazem Hajoul, the seminar addressed several key themes supporting women and their multifaceted roles. It emphasized the importance of strengthening laws and regulations that protect working women, raising awareness of the dual roles women play, and discussing mechanisms to challenge stereotypes associated with women’s participation in the labor market.
