University of Basrah Organizes a Discussion Session on Challenges in Supporting Academically Struggling Students
The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah organized a discussion session titled “Reality, Challenges, and Solutions for Following Up with Academically Struggling Students.”
The session aimed to explore the key academic and psychological challenges faced by struggling students, with a focus on early detection mechanisms, as well as presenting a set of supportive solutions and procedures that help develop their study skills and improve academic performance.
The session, presented by faculty member Nuzhat Ahmed Jabbar, highlighted the importance of establishing regular follow-up plans, activating the academic advising system, and providing a supportive environment that helps students overcome the causes of underperformance. These efforts contribute to enhancing educational outcomes and reducing academic setbacks.
