University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on the Future of the Department of Animal Production and Entrepreneurship
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled “Future Prospects of the Department of Animal Production, Entrepreneurship, and Employment.”
The seminar aimed to introduce the department and highlight its key features, while focusing on the opportunities available to graduates. These opportunities extend beyond traditional roles in agricultural and veterinary offices to include positions in the Ministries of Education, Health, Oil, Environment, as well as ports and border crossings.
Delivered by Dr. Jalal Akili Yassar, Dr. Adnan Jabbar Jaddou’ Al-Kanaan, and researcher Ahmed Karim Jari, the seminar presented employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors. It also encouraged students to engage in entrepreneurship through small-scale animal production projects, enhancing their skills and preparing them to enter the labor market.
