University of Basrah Organizes Scientific Workshop on the Impact of Nutrition on Behavior and Emotions
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a scientific workshop entitled “From Meat Chemistry to Psychological Guidance: How Nutrition Affects Emotions and Educational Behavior.”
The workshop aimed to highlight the relationship between food chemistry and brain chemistry, and its direct impact on psychological well-being and educational behavior.
Presented by Dr. Rafeef Abdul Hafiz Mohammed Taqi and Dr. Alaa Mohammed Sidhkan, the session emphasized the importance of a balanced diet in improving behavior and academic performance. It also explored the role of nutrients in regulating neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, while stressing the need for collaboration between educational and health institutions to provide a healthy and balanced learning environment.
