The President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, opened the Food Industry in the College of Agriculture .
The university president indicated his full support for the projects that contribute to supplying the students of the internal departments and the local market with foods manufactured from meat and poultry and competing with imported products.
The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Sajid Saad Al-Nour, explained that the main goal of the Food Industries Laboratory is to develop the experience of undergraduate and postgraduate students to apply the practical side and contribute to their readiness in the future to open their own projects after graduation and thus provide employment opportunities for a number of graduates. In addition to providing the needs of the students of the university's internal departments of food at subsidized prices.
