University of Basrah Holds Guidance Seminar on Cyber Extortion
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a specialized guidance seminar entitled “Combating Cyber Extortion and Mobile Protection,” attended by a group of experts in cybersecurity and cybercrime prevention.
The seminar addressed the most common methods of cyber extortion and ways to prevent it, provided guidance on the safe use of mobile phones, and raised students’ awareness of digital risks and ways to protect their privacy. It also highlighted the legal framework and the competent authorities responsible for handling such cases.
