University of Basrah Launches Campaign on the Risks of Drugs and Preventive Measures
As part of its efforts to promote health awareness and protect students from societal harms, the College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized an awareness campaign on the risks of drugs and preventive measures. This initiative is part of the college’s ongoing support for national efforts aimed at combating this serious phenomenon.
The campaign included the preparation of educational posters highlighting the physical and psychological effects of drug use, as well as emphasizing the role of students and educational institutions in promoting a culture of awareness and compliance with the law. These posters were displayed throughout the college and in student gathering areas to ensure that the awareness messages reached the largest possible number of students.
The College’s administration affirmed that this initiative stems from its ethical and social responsibility to protect youth and guide them toward a safe university environment, noting the continuation of awareness activities that contribute to building a conscious generation capable of facing challenges.
