University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Antibiotics
In observance of Antibiotic Awareness Week, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on “Antibiotics.”
The seminar aimed to promote awareness and educate participants on the proper use of antibiotics and the consequences of their misuse on public health.
The event included a lecture delivered by faculty members, discussing antibiotics, their history and development, their various types, and how their use has evolved over time.
The seminar recommended consulting a physician before taking any type of antibiotic and using them correctly to prevent the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains.
