University of Basrah Holds a Training Course on the Unified Accounting System
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a specialized training course on the Unified Accounting System.
The course aimed to enhance participants’ skills in preparing final accounts in accordance with established scientific principles.
Delivered by Dr. Ali Majid Hadi, the course covered key accounts, the accounting chart of accounts, and practical accounting treatments, in addition to hands-on exercises and short assessments to measure participants’ understanding.
The course highlighted the importance of providing accurate financial data for government institutions and the private sector in alignment with the principle of accounting disclosure.
It concluded with recommendations to further develop accounting practices and integrate them with the standards of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
