University of Basrah Organizes a Training Course on Arabic Language Accuracy
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah conducted a training course titled “Arabic Language Accuracy,” attended by a number of staff members and individuals interested in linguistic matters.
The course aimed to enhance participants’ skills in correct writing and to identify common errors in official and academic correspondence.
Delivered by Dr. Abbas Abdul Aziz Siyhoud, the course covered topics including spelling, morphology, grammar, rules for writing the hamza, distinguishing between taa marbouta and taa maftouha, differentiating daad from thaa, as well as lessons on the subject and predicate, kana and its sisters, inna and its sisters, and punctuation marks.
The course concluded with a recommendation to promote a culture of language accuracy within both professional and academic environments.
