University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Digital Transformation and Green Consumption: “Towards a Sustainable Future”
The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah organized a workshop titled “Digital Transformation and Green Consumption: Towards a Sustainable Future.”
The workshop, presented by Lecturer Louay Abdulwahid Shahab and Lecturer Zina Abdul Sattar, provided a comprehensive overview of green consumption concepts and their relationship with digital transformation from both environmental and economic perspectives. It explored the role of technology in promoting conscious consumption, presented global examples of sustainability applications, and highlighted the main challenges in this field.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the role of technology in fostering environmentally friendly consumption and to encourage participants to consider practical ways to reduce environmental impact through digital-enabled green choices.
