University of Basrah Organizes Awareness Seminar on Cyber Extortion
The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with the Fourth Region Border Command, organized an awareness seminar on cyber extortion and the role of national and legal media in protecting society.
The seminar aimed to highlight the dangers of cyber extortion and the role of security and governmental media in educating and guiding the community.
The session, presented by a group of faculty members and specialists from the Border Command, addressed the role of government media and psychological counseling in mitigating this phenomenon, explained the methods for securing and protecting electronic accounts, outlined the legal penalties for extortionists, and emphasized the importance of raising societal awareness across different community segments.
