University of Basrah Holds Scientific Workshop on
Steps for Publishing in Peer-Reviewed International Journals
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a scientific workshop titled “Steps for Publishing in Peer-Reviewed International Journals.”
The workshop aimed to provide participants with modern scientific writing techniques, introduce them to the fundamentals of rigorous research, and enhance their skills in structuring research steps while avoiding common mistakes.
Presented by Dr. Salman Sahib Atshan, the workshop highlighted the importance of publishing in reputable peer-reviewed journals as a vital component of an academic career. He emphasized that a strong research record is crucial for securing funding and scientific grants, as funding agencies evaluate the quality of a researcher’s publications to assess their ability to produce sound and impactful results.
