University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on the Integration of Medical and Health Physics with Dentistry
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture entitled “Integration of Medical and Health Physics with Dentistry”, attended by a group of faculty members and staff.
The lecture aimed to highlight the pivotal role of medical and health physics in the development of diagnostic and therapeutic tools in dentistry, and to raise scientific awareness among faculty and students regarding the safe and effective use of modern physical technologies.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Abdulrahman Faleh Hassan, discussed the role of medical and health physics in supporting diagnosis and treatment in dentistry, the physical principles behind X-ray diagnostics, CBCT technology, and ultrasound applications.
The lecture emphasized the importance of relying on physical concepts to ensure accurate and safe diagnoses, as well as the need to promote a culture of radiation safety in educational clinics.
