The University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Poverty Eradication within the Framework of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basrah organized a training workshop entitled “Poverty Eradication in the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda,” as part of the university’s activities supporting the global Sustainable Development Goals.
The workshop aimed to highlight the key dimensions of the first Sustainable Development Goal, clarify the policies and measures that contribute to reducing poverty rates, and enhance students’ awareness of the role of universities in addressing societal challenges.
The workshop featured a lecture delivered by Dr. Nadwa Hilal Joodah from the College of Administration and Economics, in which she discussed the major economic challenges related to poverty and the mechanisms for mitigating them in accordance with the United Nations 2030 vision.
