University of Basrah Holds Awareness Lecture on the Misuse of Antibiotics and the Emergence of Resistance
The College of Medicine at the University of Basrah organized an awareness lecture on the misuse of antibiotics and the emergence of bacterial resistance. The lecture was part of Antibiotic Resistance Awareness Week and was held under the slogan: “Rational Use of Antibiotics: A Strong Protective Shield.”
Delivered by Dr. Hanadi Abdulqader Jassim, the lecture discussed the risks associated with improper use of antibiotics, strategies to avoid misuse, methods for regulating antibiotic use, and the importance of following medical prescriptions.
The lecture aimed to raise awareness about antibiotic resistance and was accompanied by an awareness campaign that included informative posters and brochures highlighting the dangers of improper antibiotic use.
