University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Nanotechnology and Its Stages of Development
The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on nanotechnology, its stages of development, and its applications in engineering geology.
The workshop aims to introduce the fundamentals of nanotechnology, the properties of materials at the nanoscale, and to review the evolution of this field from its inception to its modern applications.
The workshop included two lectures delivered by faculty members Dr. Huda Ahmed Daham and Dr. Ajil Suwayn Yassin, in which they explained nanotechnology as a science concerned with manipulating materials and devices at dimensions ranging between 1 and 100 nanometers, where materials acquire new and distinctive properties that differ from their behavior at conventional sizes.
