University of Basrah Organizes a Course on Oil Pollution
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah organized a course on oil pollution.
The course aimed to shed light on the issue of oil spills in the marine environment.
It included a lecture delivered by Mazin Abdul-Hussein Badden, a faculty member at the Marine Science Center, in which he outlined the causes and destructive impacts of oil spills on living organisms and ecosystems. He also reviewed both traditional and innovative treatment methods to combat this type of pollution, in addition to highlighting the role of international efforts and agreements in preventing pollution, promoting a culture of marine environmental protection, and ensuring its sustainability.
