University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on the 2025 Iraqi Parliamentary Elections
The Basrah and Arabian Gulf Studies Center at the University of Basrah organized a seminar titled “The 2025 Iraqi Parliamentary Elections – An Academic Perspective.”
The seminar aimed to shed light on the developments of the 2025 legislative elections in Iraq, focusing on the political and security environment, the effectiveness of the electoral system, the role of the Independent High Electoral Commission, as well as international monitoring.
The seminar discussed voter turnout indicators, changes in the political landscape, the impact of public awareness, and the effectiveness of digital campaigns in shaping results, in addition to examining economic dimensions and their influence on the electoral process.
