University of Basrah Continues Tree-Planting and Landscaping Campaign to Expand Green Spaces
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah has continued its tree-planting and landscaping campaign across the center’s gardens and surrounding areas, as part of ongoing efforts to expand green spaces and protect the environment.
Dr. Shaker Ghalib Ajeel, Director General of the Center, stated that the campaign included planting a variety of fruit trees and ornamental shrubs in the center’s gardens and surrounding areas, contributing to an improved campus environment.
This campaign comes within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Basrah’s plan to enhance environmental awareness, expand green areas, and promote a culture of tree planting and environmental care within educational institutions.
