University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Bullying in the University Campus
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled “Bullying in the University Campus: Its Causes and Ways to Reduce It.”
The seminar aimed to address the phenomenon of bullying by presenting effective solutions to reduce its prevalence within the university campus, as well as raising awareness among female students about the risks of bullying and how to deal with it. This phenomenon involves harmful behaviors that negatively affect students’ performance and achievements, contributing to the creation of an unsafe environment. Moreover, bullying is considered an important educational, psychological, and social issue among university students.
The seminar, delivered by faculty member Dr. Hanan Ahmed Abdul Karim, discussed the phenomenon of bullying, its negative repercussions on female university students, the resulting adverse effects, and the ways to adapt to such circumstances and overcome them.
