University of Basrah Holds a Seminar on Building Investment Portfolios
The College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized an instructional seminar titled “Mechanisms for Building Investment Portfolios by Business Administration Students in the Stock Market.”
The seminar aims to familiarize students with the various types of investment portfolios and how to select those most appropriate to their objectives, as well as to introduce them to the fundamentals of the stock market and the interpretation of stock movements. It also covers diversification strategies, risk management, and common mistakes made by novice investors.
The seminar, delivered by Dr. Zainab Shallal and Dr. Nada Abdulqader, included key discussions on the concept of an investment portfolio and its role in reducing risk and achieving financial stability.
