University of Basrah Holds a Lecture on a Hybrid Framework for Improving Image-to-Image Translation
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture titled “A Proposed Framework for Image-to-Image Translation Using GANs and VAEs: An Application to Aerial Map Data.”
The lecture aimed to present a hybrid research framework that integrates both techniques to enhance the quality of image translation, particularly in converting aerial imagery into maps.
Delivered by researcher Sahar Jabbar Mohammed and supervised by Prof. Salah Faleh Saleh, the lecture included an explanation of the training methodology, evaluation algorithms, and the results achieved throughout the experimental stages, while also highlighting the potential for further development of the framework and its application in various research domains.
