University of Basrah Holds a Lecture on Pulp Tissue Regeneration Techniques
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on the latest advancements in the treatment of non-vital teeth, focusing on regenerative pulp therapy for immature permanent teeth.
Delivered by Lecturer Hiyam Salah, the lecture aimed to introduce the scientific foundations of regenerative endodontic treatment and its role in enabling the root to continue its natural development—unlike conventional methods that rely on creating a calcified barrier, which limits full root maturation.
The lecture outlined the essential steps of biological therapy and its importance in addressing the clinical challenges associated with teeth that have necrotic pulp. It also discussed the potential applications of this technique in routine dental treatments.
