University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Electronic Blackmail and Prevention Methods
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on electronic blackmail and how to avoid falling victim to it.
The workshop aimed to raise students’ digital awareness and encourage the safe and responsible use of social media platforms, thereby strengthening a culture of cybersecurity within the university community.
The event included several research papers in which the presenters discussed the most common forms of electronic blackmail and highlighted key warning signs to watch for. Practical guidelines were also provided on protecting personal accounts and the proper steps to take when facing any attempt at blackmail.
