University of Basrah Conducts a Field Visit to the Livestock Department in Al-Qurna
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a field training activity at the Livestock Department of the Basrah Agriculture Directorate in Al-Qurna.
The activity aimed to familiarize students with modern devices used in standardization and quality control, as well as methods for testing animal feed and detecting carcinogenic substances. It also introduced procedures for artificial insemination in animals, contributing to the preparation of skilled and qualified veterinary graduates for the job market.
The field training included information presented by Dr. Moayad Hanon Sayhoud from the college, along with specialists from the department, covering artificial insemination techniques and providing detailed explanations of laboratory equipment used to analyze the components of feed materials included in animal diets.
