University of Basrah Organizes a Training Course on Food Safety
The Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah organized a training course on enhancing food safety in restaurants, protecting public health, and improving quality of life.
The course aimed to strengthen knowledge and skills related to food safety among individuals and institutions.
The course, delivered by Dr. Seta Aram Kurek, highlighted the importance of enhancing food safety practices in restaurants to protect public health from foodborne diseases. This is achieved through the application of strict personal hygiene measures, temperature control, prevention of cross-contamination, and the use of modern techniques such as the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system and artificial intelligence. These measures ensure food quality and consumer safety, contribute to building public trust, and help raise the overall quality of life by providing a safe and nutritious dining experience instead of exposing individuals to the risks of illness and malnutrition.
