University of Basrah Organizes a Training Course on Microbiological Safety Testing of Meat
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a training course entitled “Key Approved Quality Control Tests to Ensure the Microbiological Safety of Meat and Meat Products.”
The course aimed to familiarize participants with meat safety concepts and the role of microbiological testing in quality assessment, as well as to enhance awareness of proper hygienic practices during slaughtering, transportation, and storage in order to reduce contamination.
The course, delivered by Dr. Zainab Ali Kazem, Dr. Nawal Khalid Zabeen, and lecturer Manal Ali Ahmed, was attended by postgraduate and undergraduate students, as well as personnel working in food testing laboratories and meat production companies.
