University of Basrah Organizes a Discussion Session on the Future of Cancer Treatment
With international academic participation, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a discussion session entitled “Latest Chemotherapeutic Advances in Cancer Treatment.”
The session hosted Professor Najm Abboud Laibi, an advisor at the University of Konstanz in Germany, who provided a detailed explanation of modern methods for preparing innovative chemical compounds.
Professor Laibi focused on the potential development of chemical compounds with effective therapeutic impact against the most aggressive tumors, including pancreatic, prostate, and breast cancers. He emphasized the importance of developing these compounds to target cancer cells with very low doses, thereby reducing the risks and side effects associated with conventional chemotherapy.
